[ the inside of the ear canals are achey and caked with blobs of coagulation after elongating and dislocating, so there may be that ugly-too-dark traces of blood from within the cone-shaped ears and at the base of the skull. with color it might be hard to tell, but not with touch— smudging them would cause a gooey bloodstain on his fingers if they went there.

I don’t think horses are very monster like and scary.. but I guess there are some in stories that can be dangerous.
